Lema contributed to the renovation of Hotel Ilaria, located in the historic heart of Lucca. This charming family-run hotel, a true gem that is part of Lucca’s heritage, consists of two distinct buildings. The renovation focused on the part housed in the old stables of the historic Villa Bottini. This space, which retains its original enclosing walls and the remarkable entrance on Via del Fosso, boasts a privileged view of the villa’s park. The park, dominated by century-old trees and a majestic plane tree, inspires tranquility and beauty, making the setting both unique and captivating.
The renovation project, involving 30 rooms and corridors, was guided by a design philosophy aimed at creating harmony between the interior and exterior, enhancing the original structure whilst preserving the charm of its surroundings. Natural materials, neutral tones, and refined decorative details were carefully selected to establish a seamless visual and sensory continuity between the interior spaces and the garden. The result is a space that combines elegance and simplicity, offering a welcoming and serene atmosphere, perfect for a stay made of complete relax.
Lema collaborated with the property to develop bespoke solutions to highlight the location’s beauty, integrating modern functionality with the unique character of the historic building. Through this project, Lema demonstrates its ability to manage undertakings of all scales, from large contracts to more intimate settings. Each project represents a unique challenge, and Lema supports architects with tailored solutions and extensive expertise, providing assistance to bring every vision to life and successfully overcome any design challenge.
